Summary: Basic Cookbook
Review: This is a great basic cookbook. I have had many, but this is the best. When you are looking up a receipe, many basic cookbooks tell you to open a box of some kind of mix, (to bake rolls or a cake etc) and tell you how to add onto that. I don't keep many mixes on hand, and this book gives you just a simple receipe to follow for almost anything. It also has information on storing, buying, cuts of meat, and roasting timetables for poultry and roasts. It's very complete from soups to entree's and desserts and it's also "new enough" that the roasting temperatures are safe. Mine is worn out and I'm going to buy another.
