Summary: The fastest selling book in the history of QVC
Review: A man who started a career as a newspaper columnist, a television anchor and reporter, a recording artist, an actor and a chef and restaurateur then became a host of one of the most popular shows on a home shopping network. In the Kitchen with Bob is QVC's intensely popular cooking show hosted by Bob Bowersox. Bowersox, however, needed to take his career to a new level ~ A best-selling cookbook author. In the Kitchen with Bob, published by Hearst Books is a compilation of many of the recipes shown on the show. The book is a very basic book, written in the crudest of forms, offering very little in techniques, suggestions or variations. In today's two income families and our rush to do so many things in the course of the day this book is, however, a very useful source for fast, easy and tasty meals. Under the same mandate given to Bowersox by QVC's management for the show, the book is filled with recipes most of which may go from the stove to the table in 10 minutes or less. Many recipes use the freshest products from the pantry, and include: Fish and Spinach Soup; Kartoffelsuppe; Classic Irish Stew; Cashew, Shrimp and Pea Salad; Sherried Clams; Asian Primavera; Pasta with Prosciutto and Olives; Swordfish in a tomato-Olive Sauce; Chicken Paprika; Turkey Breast with Raspberry Glaze; Garlic Pork Chops with Balsamic Vinegar; Potatoes Provencale; and Serious Pecan Pie. Bob Bowersox has proven that to make great dishes and meals doesn't take hours of preparation or cooking. From the one-dish meal to a romantic dinner, In the Kitchen with Bob offers a variety of possibilities. Hearst Books, a division of William Morrow and Company, publishes In the Kitchen with Bob written by Bob Bowersox A simple book with over 125 recipes that are designed to use fresh ingredients from the pantry and go from the stove to the table in 10 minutes or les

Review: Bob Bowersox has proven that great taste does not have to be a function of preparation time. The recipe for crab stew is worth the price of the entire book. My attention span in the kitchen is short, and this cookbook (and the others in the series) suits me to a T. And my guests think I'm a good cook! Amazing.

Review: When I opened and found the Italian Zucchini pie recipe that he claims his father created, I was completely turned off. This same recipe I've been making for years because it was a featured Pillsbury bake off winner. How many other recipes does he claim to be his own? That was a complete let down. He is a salesman on QVC.
