Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Mennonite inspired soup and salad recipies
Review: This book is part of the "Schmecks Appeal" series, and therefore contains the soup and salad recipies that appeared in Staebler's very popular Food that Really Schmecks, More Food that Really Schmecks, and Schmecks Appeal cook books.

For those not familiar with Edna Staebler's cook books: they mainly consist of Mennonite and German-Canadian recipies, along with some interesting and enlightening anecdotes.

I'm not a big cook, but I have made a number of these recipies with some degree of success, and they are truly great.
