Rating: Summary: My very favorite Freezer cookbook. Review: If you have read a lot about the concept of OAMC or freezer cooking, but are uninspired to start with the prospect of 5 batches of hamburger noodle whatever in your freezer, this is the book for you. It seemed to me that to have the convenience of homemade freezer food, you had to give up the prospect of having healthy meals. The recipies are fairly simple, full of flavor, low-fat, and freeze well. If you can do basic math you should be able to easily plan multiple batches of those recipies you really like. I have EVERY once a month cooking cookbook that's been published, and this is the one I refer to the most.
Rating: Summary: Recommended! Review: If you like the concept of OAMC but want something more than just "ham rolls" and chicken tetrazzini then get this one. While it won't get you all the way to California cool cuisine, it will give you some tasty alternatives to recipes presented in other books. Some recipes are to be cooked with items pulled from the freezer, some are to be cooked with fresh ingredients and then frozen. Many tips are included such as creating your own spice mixtures, making your own frozen pizza's...the authors intend for you to save money and eat healthfully. Nutritional data privided for each recipe.

Rating: Summary: Surprising! Review: We had "Prevention" magazine around the house when I was a kid. The recipes were dull, dull, dull. Lots of tofu, no spice, and little meat. So I was a little apprehensive about this cookbook. What a delightful surprise! I've found a wide variety of dishes, with and without meat, spicy and simple. I particularly like that this cookbook features recipes to cook and freeze for the future, and recipes to cook quickly using common staples many of us keep in the freezer. Lots of healthy recipes, with enough variety to satisfy most families.
