Review: What a wonderful book! My copy is now over 10 years old and it still gets used every week. Rosa Tidy's recipes are easy to follow, you can customise them to quite some degree and they still work and they produce delicious food. Divine meatballs, pasta with chickpeas that never fails to please anyone who tastes it, amazing things to do with tagliatelli, I have to stop and go and cook some pasta!

The recipes occasionally list an ingredient that then doesn't get mentioned in the instructions and at least once you reserve a cooking liquid you then don't use, but these foibles make the book more friendly. Rosa ain't Delia Smith, but we all need a homely voice sometimes.
