I chose to mix and match the menu's they suggest and my romantic birthday dinner for my boyfriend turned out wonderful! Also, the strategies for occupying the kids made it much easier to get the dinner made and really helped us enjoy our time together. This is a great book even if you don't have kids. Everything I prepared turned out wonderful, especially the lemon souffle!
