Summary: Uncomplicated recipes that look like you've made an effort.
Review: Having received an advance copy I promptly tried "Nana's Chocolate Cake" and my family was deliriously happy. The other recipes give the appearance of being complicated but many are "do ahead" and reheat as needed. Like the author, I prefer to enjoy my company and have as much of the work as possible done in advance. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5? - I only wish it was larger and more comprehensive!
