Review: Great guide for beginners-enjoyable, quick read. Down-to-earth. It could serve an experienced stage manager because of it's emphasis on inter-personal relationships backstage and their effect on the production. Other books on the subject don't deal as well with the authority issues that stage managers must contend with. This book could be a text for Intro to Theatre classes at the high school or college level. I wish I'd read it when I was starting out.

Summary: Easy to read but not enough fine print
Review: This book was too much of an overview for me. I don't suggest it to someone who has logged more than 10 hours for a theatre. However, good basics ideas so try it if you are a fresh newcomer.
