Summary: This is good but save it for after you beat the game....
Review: The guide is good for those who would want to go through the game on the normal difficulty setting or lower. The guide has its ups and downs, but then again what guide doesn't.First of all, the guide has very detailed maps that pin-point the location of items show where guards are, and even labels their patrol route. Boss strategies are long and in-depth and will tell you what attacks they have, and the guide has exclusive bios of all the characters. The guide does its best not to spoil the plot and it does a good job. It doens't spoil a single plot twists. But there is one spoiler that it has (but its no biggie if you have a brain, this one is so obvious you'll see it coming TRUST ME) but its no plot-spoiler. The guide has an entire section dedicated to the sneaking aspect of the game. It covers all the basics and has a detailed items list and weapons list. The walkthrough is a real treat. Very detailed and doesn't leave any one area unexplored. The guide also gives a guard by guard strategy, and a dog tag collecting strategy along the way. For the faults? Well, the game only covers normal. When going through Hard and Extreme, it doesn't cover the extra bombs in the struts, and doesn't cover the extra C4 explosives before the harrier battle. The guide also leaves out some secrets. It doesn't tell you all the items you get for collecting dog tags. It only tells you the bandana and wig. It never mentions that 120 dog tags will get you stealth for the plant chapter or that 60 will get you stealth for the Tanker chapter. Overall the guide was satisfying until I wanted to know how to unlock more secrets and I began to notice that it didn't have that brief history section that it talked about on the back cover of the guide. Very good though and very well-explained procedure.

Review: This guide is the most helpful when you are stuck at a certain place in the game that seems impossible to get past!!! The guide is in-depth and simple at the same time. If your stuck then this guide is for you. (this guide is CHEAP and easy to buy to help you)

Review: This is a great guide. Very few omissions or errors, very in-depth. Good layout, and great writing (what else would you expect from Dan Birlew, President Evil himself?) Get this guide if you find yourself stuck at any point of MGS2!
