Review: First of all, this strategy guide reveals too much of the plot. Most gamers strictly want accurate information on weapons, spells, characters, and enemies. Good Role Playing strategy guides, such as the Final Fantasy VII guide by Versus, do not reveal the plot, and they have statistics and information that go in depth with character advancement. This book lacks precision in this aspect, and it left out many secret items and where to get them. It seems a bit sloppy in it's layout; especially in the bestiary and advancing monster characters to levels comparable with upper level monsters. However, to be fair, it reveals some good information that average players would not find on their own. I must say that this book needs to do more research on what players really want, and also revise before publishing. --Blaine Ginoza

Review: I tried numerous times to finish the game without buying a guide and it was next to impossible (for me) and once the guide arrived I understood what the game wanted from me without telling me what to do word for word. I highly recommend it.

Review: Oh man oh MAN! This guide is one of the worst pieces of garbage that I've ever had the misfortune to have picked up. I think I was MORE lost with it in my hand than without it. Poor maps, lousy boss strategy, inaccurate information all help to make this strategy guide bad. Very very VERY bad. This man (David Cassaday) has never played a video game in his life and it shows. Another poor effort by Brady Games. I wish there was a half or no-star rating, because this effort certainly deserves them. The only way this guide could be worse is if it was for another game entirely. AVOID this guide at all costs!

Summary: An excellent and in-depth strategy guide for this game.
Review: This huge guide has everything! There are character profiles, lists of items, weapons, and enemies, and detailed explanations for the side quests. The walkthroughs for all seven of the characters are extremely comprehensive and excellent, and the guide tells the reader all the secrets (including a special ending) in this Squaresoft game. If you have the game, then you must buy this guide. If you don't, you will be missing out on a lot of the great points in this game.
