Rating: Summary: You've Got to Love This Guy Review: Liberals are cowering fear because of the rapid rise of Sean Hannity. What can they do when capitalism proves their elitist philosophies wrong? Why is it that conservativism sells in the thinking man's media: radio and print publishing? Confronted with the facts by articulate communicators like Hannity, all they can do is name-call, race-bait, and demonize. This is not a heavy political treatise and Sean never pretends to be a Stephen L. Carter or George Will, but he is a passionate cheerleader for conservative values, American values. What's more he lack the pomposity of Rush Limbaugh, though he credits Maha Rushdie among others for his success. He is a true Reagan disciple. Hannity stands strong for bedrock American values but speaks his mind without going nuts. He's a true compassionate conservative. I would urge people of all political stripes to read this book. It's a light read, but it is a basic primer for conservatives, drawing heavily upon Right media. Pick up this book and add it to your nightstand collection. You won't go wrong.
Rating: Summary: Let Freedom Ring! Review: Sean Hannity's book "Let Freedom Ring" is compelling, eye opening and the truth! After chapter one, I found myself turning the pages over and over again. After watching Fox News for sometime and Hannity and Colmes, I figured I would give his book a chance. To say the least, he opened my eyes to what I already knew was a squandering Liberal Media and groups of liberal congressmen and women who run the country. Sean details how the Clinton/Gore Administration devoured the Central Intelligence Agency ("the Scrub"), diminished the Military and how Clinton and Gore failed to "take in" Osama Bin Laden when other governments had him ready for us to take but opted not to get involved. It's not all bashing the left either. As a matter of fact, he details mistakes in ALL administrations in failures abroad. After reading the book, I found myself wondering how many of the elected officials get elected. I find out more and more everyday that at least 40-50% of America is not following what our Government is doing. Sadly, many who oppose the right's view will not read this book. People in the middle should read this book. Be prepared though, as this book really does open the eyes to amazing things. Items that you don't see on CBS evening news or for that matter, CNN or MSNBC. Why? Liberal Media Bias-ness. I went into this book with a 50/50 view. After, I found myself scratching my head wondering why the very media I watch every night only covered 35% of what was "really" going down on Capital Hill. A lot of what Sean Hannity said, I looked up and I found everything. Guess what? He's 100% correct! Moreover, Hannity describes in detail how our Military, CIA and other operations were merely distinguished by the Clinton/Gore Administration. Hannity describes values and how precious things like "The Constitution" and "Declaration of Independence" are trying to be "re-written" by Liberals. It's truly amazing that people want to change the "Declaration of Independence" to suit "Liberal Needs" It actually made me sick reading this and I couldn't believe it. So once again, I looked it all up. It's 100% correct. What's more, I found that Liberals (some Senators) are actually supporting the BAN on the American Flag to be hung at Libraries. All this because some say the Flag represents a divided country and not a "Multi-Cultural" country. Go figure. This kind of of story doesn't find it's way to the liberal news often, and we all know why. Just like the border control issues. Hannity spells it out very clearly why the Clinton/Gore administration failed to tighten up on security, border control and military responsibility. Some of the points Sean Hannity spells out in this enthralling book, makes me wonder what people are thinking. Sadly, the media biased press doesn't help get the "true" facts out to the American People. One last point. The person who wrote the previous review on this book, I found it amazing that they failed to even correctly represent the English language. Word of advice, before you write a review, proof read it, and have someone check for grammatical errors. It summary, after reading this book, I found myself re-thinking our American values, what our country represents and for god's sake..."Let Freedom Ring!"
Rating: Summary: God Help America (zero stars should be an option) Review: A more apt title would be "Let Fascism Ring". We are not the greatest people on earth simply by virtue of being born somewhere. Nor are the rest of the world's inhabitants inferior for being born somewhere else. Hannity has lost sight of humanity.
Rating: Summary: Sean tells it like it is Review: I found Sean's book very interesting and very powerful. He lets out a very powerful message without brutally insulting the left side. I am glad to finally see a right-winged person writing for the rest of us "righties" to enjoy. He backs up everything with facts. It's not just Sean's opinions. Some of his facts startled me, but that's what kept me reading. This book has been very hard to put down. I admit I have not finished it yet, but I found the message so powerful, and I really like what he has to say. You can't help but cheer him on while you are reading. The left in America won't like this book, so if you left don't read it unless you know you can take it.
Rating: Summary: Hate-speech Review: Continuing the ridiculous rhetoric of war and battle against such a complex phenomenon as terrorism, Hannity assumes that given enough napalm, Agent Orange and laser guided missles, terrorism will cease to exist. Unfortunately, in his blatant and transparant parochialism he has negelected the lessons learned by other nations facing terrorist threats. But of course simplistic opinions without rational reasoning is not just easier to write, but - unfortunately - these days also easier to sell.
Rating: Summary: Should be listed under fiction... Review: Hannity is about as fair as a French olympic judge and as balanced as the Leaning Tower of Pisa...it wasn't enough that his partisan hyperbole and outright lies pollute the radio and TV airways twice a day for 4 hours (what liberal media figure gets equal time?) but he had to write a book espousing his supposed love for America but his hate of Americans... PS: Hannity...Justin Volpe is still guilty...
Rating: Summary: SEAN, THE PATRIOT Review: sean would never go to war! he wouldn't because he feels his idiology precludes him and his generation from having to fight war. instead he and the right wing conservatives (small "r", small "c") advocate sending young AMERICANS (large "A") to fight for oil and big business. he may speak for the "me too" crowd, but he and limbaugh and o'reilly have not walked the walk. they merely talk the talk. he's nothing more than a redneck who all of sudden has found himself in the spotlight. care to reply?...
Rating: Summary: Predictable Review: As a registered Republican and a self proclaimed conservative, I read this book more as a litmus test as to how far right I truly am. It turns out, Im further right than I had realized. That said, I dont agree with everything Mr. Hannity has to say regarding the state of the union nor do I agree with his portrayal of the evil Democrats. Although throughout the book the author shows prime examples of how liberals flip flop on the issue of the day in order to fit the bill, Im certain enough examples of Republicans can be found playing the same games. Its called politics, those that play the best get the most recognition. I think listening to Mr. Hannitys syndicated radio talk show for a week would pretty much save you time of reading the book. I enjoy his show as I did the book, however I believe it wise to take either with a grain of salt. The right wing blames the left for the sins of society, while the left blames the right. A happy medium between the two is required, but dont look for it in this book.
Rating: Summary: Not for everybody. Review: As you can clearly tell from the title of the book, if you're a liberal you're probably going to be wasting your money if you purchase it. Simple as that. Most of the book -is- partisan based politics where he outlines a "conservative" agenda. That said, chapters one through five are -must reads- for any liberal. National defense should never be a matter of partisan politics, although many on the left have reduced it to just that. Sean Hannity's views on national defense are not "conservative" views, they are not "liberal" views, they are American views. You don't have to agree with every policy he advocates, but you must agree with the straightforward principle that the first and foremost job of our President should be the defense of the American nation, the American people, and their interests. We can ill afford to elect another "man" (quotation marks signify I use that word loosely) like Clinton to the Oval Office. As a nation we paid a horrible price on 11 September 2001, and its time we learn our lesson. If we again allow our President to make national defense a minor priority, we will pay a heavy price in blood. You don't have to agree with his or any other conservative's views on education, taxes, abortion, and other partisan issues to realize that we're right on the matter of national defense. Other than those beginning chapters, if you are a liberal you will probably get tired of hearing the argument. Why? Because, quite simply, you can't handle the truth.
Rating: Summary: outstanding criticism on liberalism Review: If you're looking for a fair and balanced book this book is not it. This book is not meant to be fair and balanced, it is supposed be one sided. If you're Republican looking for a book bashing democrats, liberalism, and Bill Clinton then this book will do the trick for you. From start to finish this book will cater to a conservative's point of view and will do a hatchet job on liberalism. This book shows the views of a conservative and how democrats are not doing such a great job with their liberal ideas on everything from education, defence, war on terrorism, and of course Clinton. This book is a complete critque on liberalism and and if you agree with a conservative point of view this is a must read for you. This book goes straight for the throat.
