Summary: <Yawn....>
Review: People used to think this kind of thing was funny, huh? The word "puerile" comes to mind followed by "mind-numbingly awful." What was the person who gave me this book thinking, homocide?

Perhaps it would be funny if I read it in Carmen Miranda drag. Read it at your own risk. You've been warned.

Summary: disgustingly tasteless
Review: There are some jokes you can't find free on the Internet, those are dumbest ones and most tasteless. The only thing you can laugh at is people who came up with jokes like that and laugh at such. Even that does not turn out really funny, laughing at sick people. I am donating it to the library and making a rule: did not hold the book in hands - don't buy it.

I gave 1 extra star for historical insight, some of these jokes are centuries old and do remind of their time of birth, "o tempora o mores."

Summary: Unsuitable Jokes
Review: This book is full of filthy jokes that are inappropriate and impolite, especially for children. Don't buy it!

Summary: Hit and miss
Review: This book reads like the "Airplane" and "Naked Gun" movies play... throw enough attempts at humor at you and SOMETHING is going to make you laugh. With 5000 jokes, you WILL laugh, and laugh often, but you may not find it to be worth wading through the sex and profanity to get to the clean funny stuff (although if you've ever seen a Friar's Club Roast on Comedy Central, the blue material won't come as a great surprise).

Summary: tasteless, not many funny jokes
Review: This book was very disappointing. Most jokes involve sex in some way and most are inappropriate and offensive. I had to read many pages before getting a laugh. The creativity level is zero. Not worth it.

Summary: Priceless
Review: This is a must for everybody's personal library. It rates a spot right beside Webster's Dictionary. Terrific read to unwind after a tension filled day. Even handy for the "throne room." You'll like it.

Summary: Friars Club Encyclopeadia of Jokes
Review: This is the best Joke book that I have ever read. It contains jokes from all of the worlds greatest comedians. Almost every joke is a real knee slapper. I have told most of the jokes to my friends and have never gotten a bad response. The only problem with the book is that it is too good. Ever since I read it I haven't heard a joke that wasn't in the book. I have given it as a gift to all of my friends. I sugest that you don't read it all at once because some of the brillant jokes may fall through the cracks. My only waring is that this book isn't sutable for children under the age of 13 because of graphic language and sexual humor. But if you are up for the task I highly recomend this book
