Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: Although this book is not really "modern" anymore, I found it to be the most comprehensive and helpful book on coin magic that I have ever read. It gives detailed illustrations and step by step instructions (unlike some other books) and is well worth the effort. I definitely reccomend this book as a great buy, especially if you have been looking around on the internet for some coin magic that you can easily learn. There really is no website, but this is a great buy at a great price. Definitely buy this book, whether you are a novice magician or an expereienced one.

Summary: Requires dedication, but charming
Review: As a novice in the world of magic, this book was my first foray into coin magic. Although well-illustrated, I find that even the basic sleights have been tough to master. Unfortunately, Bobo did not spend much time detailing common pitfalls nor focusing on the crux of each trick. Additionally, the chapters don't build in a natural kind of progession (As opposed to books like Royal Road to Card Magic which really feel like progress accumulates over time).

That all said, Bobo's style is charming, and reveals a genuine love for the craft and history of coin magic.

Summary: Good book
Review: As others have said, this is a well-rounded book with a pretty cheap price. While it's pretty old, most of the sleights and a few of the routines are still popular today.

It's sort of hard to understand how an effect should look when going through magic books, so you may not appreciate some of the sleights and routines in this book unless you see them in action by a professional (like in the David Roth videos or elsewhere).

Better classic palming technique is explained on coinvanish.com (Bobo's method makes your hand looked cramped), but otherwise this book is pretty good if you want to take the time to step through some of the fundamental sleights and routines for coins. Experiment and make improvements, try the effects with jumbo coins, etc.

Summary: This book is terrific!!!
Review: Bobo's collection of sleights and tricks is excellent. There are 510 illustrations! The text is usually easy to follow and the diagrams are clear. The book is sequenced appropriatly. This is a must for those who wish to work with coins.

Summary: Make stuff disappear
Review: Did you know that most magicians learned a majority of theirtricks and sleights from books? That's a fact. Bobo is supposed to bethe all-time master of sleight of hand (or so the salesman said) --you'd have to be if you're going to fill 350 pages with instructionaltext on how to make a quarter disappear...

Filled with 116 CoinSleights and 236 coin tricks, you won't ever have to buy another cointrick book. Starting with the basics, you will learn the art ofconcealing a coin, moving it in secret and using props to fool youraudience.

Although I didn't read the book completely, it was worththe money in the countless looks of fascination in the faces of thechildren when I can make $1.25 in quarters disappear into my pocket.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A wonderful source of coin manipulation
Review: I feel that this is an excellent book on learning coin manipulation. Coin magic can be done almost anywhere b/c of the abundance of coins. Bobo gives a wonderful explanation for each of the tricks he writes about. Some of the tricks are difficult, but well worth the effort. A must buy for any coin "conjurer".

Summary: The Most Used Book I Own!
Review: I first came across this book by using the card catalog at my local library almost 15 years ago and then proceded to rack up the overdue fines. I eventually purchased my own copy and have been using it ever since. This book started it all for me. I had purchased magic tricks before but really craved for the knowledge to be able to perform magic anywhere anytime. To put it simply, this book is the best book on slight of hand coin magic that I have ever seen. The descriptions of each sleight are complete and clear. The book is packed with figures that along with the text explain EVERYTHING.
