Review: My real interest is old folk and cowboy music, but this comes close enough. I read this book, got hooked, bought a fiddle and played a simple tune the first day! This is the only book I've seen (yet) that shows you how to place your fingers on a violin when you pick it up and rotate it into position.

Get a book like this one, follow the instructions and start fiddling!
