Review: Before I knew about Troy Stetina's books I never thought I would get past that dreaded beginner level of playing. Metal Rhythm 1 is the book that took me past that beginner stage to an intermediate level. Get this book if you're tired of being stuck in the same level of guitar playing, book after book. I remember the first day I got this book. After playing some of the examples, I was hooked. I couldn't believe it was me who was playing those great, crunchy, distorted riffs in ONE day. Get it. Maybe you'll surprise yourself.

Review: This is from the Stetina series on Rythm Guitar of Heavy Metal. Beginners in this style should start with This. WHY? You will be playing Metal with in a few minutes. Comes with CD with Examples and full length song with full backing band. NO Mary Had A Little Lamb either. Straight Ugly Twisted Metal. You also teachs some theory painlessly. WOnderful layout and most of all Troy has been teaching for years and you can tell by his chronology and gradual movement of the material. HE even demonstrates different amp settings and the sound different effects give you. Even a glossary. If your like on the outside trying to get in on Heavy Guitar Fast 5 Stars,. Also he has classic books on lead as he is a big shred head with incredibile technique.
