Rating: Summary: Good Intro Review: This is a good place to start if you wanna figure out what the Maestro is thinking when he is playing. The first section of the book shows some typical Yngwie licks and then it moves into some songs that he has wrote, like Trilogy Suite and Rising Force. There is also a section of blues licks(and Yngwie sure kills at the blues), and then some more chord progressions he has wrote. Not only is the book a good instructional tool, it is a good show piece for Yngwie's talent. My only problem is that, if you are just starting to shred this may not be the place to start. Yngwie seems to refuse to slow down the examples enough. He tends to just blaze through each lick and then move onto the next. A better book to start with would be Speed Mechanics by Troy Stetina. But all in all, its a good place to get some insight on Yngwies playing style.
