Rating: Summary: Should You Choose To Accept This Review... Review: Like the original Star Trek series, I grew up watching the re-runs of Mission Impossible, after school and became a fan. I loved all the cloak and dagger type stuff. The make up effects, gadgets, and clever twists at the end of most episodes, always kept me coming back for more. It's a shame that the series doesn't get much airtime in syndication anymore or hasn't been released in full on DVD yet. I would welcome either move wholeheartedly.Until those wishes become a reality, The Complete Mission Impossible Dossier by author Patrick J. White, is a great substitute. The movies with Tom Criuse are ok, but lack a certain something (especially MI2) that the show had. The ingredient even comes through in this book. It's filled with the complete story, from conception by the late Bruce Gellar to syndication. It also includes a section on the short lived 80's revival series. Star bios, plot summaries for every episode, cast lists, MI before Jim Phelps (Peter Graves) when actor Steven Hill was in the lead role. White does a great job organizing the book--filling it with lots of facinating details--that makes for a great time, if you are a fan of the show. The 456 page book includes dozens of black and white photos and is highly recommended.
Rating: Summary: Mission: Impossible Review Review: This book is a perfect companion for any MI fan. Includes plot details and breakdowns and actor bio's and series reviews. Everything is here. Definetly worth buying and now all i want is for Paramount to release series on DVD. Life would be perfect then.
