Summary: Perfect For New Fans of Battletech
Review: Shattered Sphere provides a great summary of the history of the Battletech universe for anyone who is new to Battletech. For those who enjoy reading the BT novels, this book is a great guide to help you sort out all the storylines that can seem a bit confusing. Even Battletech veterans will enjoy having this book around as a reference. I would recommend this book to all BT fans.

Summary: Great Information
Review: This book clearly explains the current situation in the Inner Sphere. Each of the Great Houses, Clans, and ComStar is given a good once-over that explains role and recent history. Although it could give a bit more information and the art is a bit so-so, it is a great resource for both new players and grizzled veterans.

Summary: Good Book for Novices
Review: This sourcebook is the perfect starter book for any new Mechwarrior and Battletech players. Its a good book to assist new players in acquainting themselves with the overall history and feel of Mechwarrior and Battletech. For the long time veterans like myself, it rates Good to Very Good at best. I believe there should have been more information on the state of the Clans but overall a good edition to any collection.

Summary: Great Reference
Review: To many the BattleTech world is some useless back story to a universe of killer robots. Think again. This volume along with dozens of others offers a rich sci-fi universe rivaling that of Star Trek in complexity. Politics, combat, game scenarios and technology are dished out by the ton in this universe. This reference provides valuable information on the novel storyline.

Summary: Does it get any better?
Review: Well, if I had to pick one novel to represent the world of battletech, this would be it. In-depth, intriuging, and most importantly, it has just enough action to keep you going. Coleman is moving up the ladder in the battletch novelist arena. A must read!!!!
