Rating: Summary: Excellent Book for Piano Students Everywhere... Review: As it goes with all Suzuki Piano Books, this one is truly exceptional. All the pieces are ordered in a way so that learning is progressive--when you learn one song, you learn a whole slew of points, techniques, and so forth, considering you have a Suzuki Piano teacher. I, as a student of the Suzuki Piano method, completed this book recently, and enjoyed every moment of it!
Rating: Summary: This book is volume 7! Review: As it goes with all volumes of the Suzuki Piano Books, this one is no exception. Containing a slew of works from composers ranging from Clementi to Schumann, and inlcuding many more. As a current student, I find this book to be the best of all so far. All the pieces are relatively well-known by tune, and are easily learned by ear. (The fact that nearly all Suzuki Piano teachers skip the last song (Sonatina, by Mozart) really helps, because that song proved to be a difficult obstable for me). Along with the purchase of this book, you will need the Book 3 CD or cassette...and of course, a willing and optimistic teacher!

Rating: Summary: This book is volume 7! Review: I ordered this book thinking volume one. Volume one is for the beginner like my 3 years old son. Imagine my surprise when I received volume 7 which is very advanced... This Suzuki method is great but please be careful this is volume 7 not 1.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I started my 3 1/2 year old in this program and she is now five. She is playing unbelievably! This program is for everyone! Make sure you buy the companion cd or cassette with this. Also get Nurtued by Love, by Dr. Suzuki.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful book for younger beginning piano students Review: The revised edition has improved editing and better sequencing of materials, compared to the original book published in 1978. As a Suzuki piano teacher, I recommend it for all children up to the age of seven and for other persons interested in learning by ear. The pieces in it are beautiful and are carefully arranged sequentially to make learning by ear easy. The book has few instructions for use and therefore should be guided by a trained Suzuki teacher. I recommend that all persons who purchase this book also purchase the recording of the book for listening. Also, you will need a copy of Dr. Suzuki's book, Nurtured By Love, to understand the philosophy behind the method.
