Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book contains priceless advice for recording musicians.
Review: With the music recording industry changing as fast as it is, one might not be inclined to turn to a reference that is now seven years old. Don't be turned off by its age: this book is as relevant to digital audio recording techniques as it is to the tape-based sytems it describes.

Inside, novices and experienced musicians will find a well-organized overview of the recording studio, the equipment used in recording and mixdown, and the techniques used by great sound engineers. Issues such as how and when to use destructive sound processing are covered in depth. Many not-so-obvious techniques are included that will help the reader develop a creative approach to recording. All this is presented in simple terms that don't require an engineering degree.

Highly recommended for the home studio owner and for commercial studio clients.
