At the beginning of the book there are chapters on Dreyschock, Fumagalli, Zichy, and Wittgenstein, four of the early champions of left-hand piano music. This book is a wonderful reasearch tool as well as fun and very intresting reading!

Review: This fascinating book is a 'must have' for piano players. The author is a succesful performer and teacher and really knows what he is talking about. Not just a dry list of published works, the author fills the book with interesting historical backgound information and technical evaluations of the works listed. I have read and studied this book a great deal and it is a real gem!
