Summary: Not a good buy!
Review: I bought this book before I learned to play guitar and I regret spending my money on this. If you are a piano player then buy this book but, if you are a guitarist then DON'T! I don't know what book the first reviewer was looking at but this book DOES NOT have original tunings. All it tells you is the original key the songs were played in. The GOO GOO DOLLS are the best band in the world and if you want to play their stuff note for note rather save your money and look for a 5 star tab on mxtabs.net. Im scared to buy another music book in case its like this one!

Summary: Acoustic
Review: If you play and love acoustic guitar, like me, then this is a good guide to have. If you like pop music kinda like Dave Matthews, Cat Stevens or Collective Soul, then I recommend the book for all acoustic players new and old. Even if you're not a huge fan of Goo Goo Dolls, like me, you'll still enjoy playing some of these easy riffs.

Summary: Guitar Tuner Not Included
Review: The Goo Goo Dolls - Dizzy Up the Girl is a highly detailed book filled with the sheet music that you will allow you to master all the guitar parts of the entire album. As well as every riff and chord, it's also got the vocal parts - lyrics, notes and harmonies where applicable.
For almost every song there is a different tuning for guitar, some varying with giutar parts, which is specified at the beginning of each song, along with various chord symbols and the tempo. The rhythm pattern is displayed over the staff and TAB lines, and while the book can be a bit complicated to follow at times it is very extensive, and is perfect for anyone who wants to play any of the great hits from DUtG, and for anyone who wants to be Johnny Rzeznik. A Guitar Notation Legend found at the back of the book explains all the tablature smbols for those who need to know.
An excellent book for those who want it, better than looking for TABs on the internet. If possible a good companion piece would be the other version of the book, with the piano parts and less extensive guitars parts, for those who want to play these numbers in a band. Be warned, you'll be tuning you're guitar an awful lot if you want to play every song.
