Review: Hey guys/gals - Sheman Nugent deserves a medal for this one - bullseye! Great and insightful read. Not a boring page here. I have been a Ted Nugent fan for (gulp!) 20-odd years (I just cant say 30 years) and have enjoyed his raunchy-rantings, ballistic-babbling & snotty-snorting. Mrs. Nugent get us behind the spirit-of-the-wild and reveals the Nugents' quite human conflicts & their ability to resolve them through dedication, committment & love. A great read!

Summary: Disapointing Garbage
Review: I bought this book on the recommendation of Sean Hannity of Fox News' Hannity and Colmes- someone that I typically respect very much.I ... read it on my honeymoon. In a nutshell- it is mostly her going on and on about all the celebrities she and Ted hang with, all the travel they do, all the animals they like to hunt and eat, and how the majority of us are headed straight for hell. Content wise, the book is inconsistent, disappointing, and teases you into thinking it is headed towards a climax but falls short. For example, she talks about how her health failed last fall at the beginning of the book and she never comes back to explain why. She barely touches on the affair that Ted had basically saying that she was hurt but they got over it and are now much better- never really explaining, for example, HOW they got over it. As a newleywed a lot of what drew me to this book was seeing how they got over their major problems but that never happened. It does get very obnoxious also her going on and on about "Ted's strong arms" and her saying how she really didn't like going hunting in Texas for their Honeymoon but then backtracking saying "It was ok, because I was with Ted". She also talks about how awful it is that some women dress and act provocitavely and alter themselves to make themselves more appealing to men. She later mentions that she had a boob job. Pretty big hypocrite if you ask me. Long story short, I was expecting a more insightful more raw and empowering account of maintaining one's identity while being married to such a character. Instead, I found a combination trashy romance novel, political soapbox and whinefest.

Review: I have read many books from Ted and Shemane, this rates right up there, if you are looking for something you can really sit down and get into, I would suggest this book. When I read this book, I felt like I must have been reading a different book than the one described in other reviews here.

Review: I just finished reading "Married to a Rock Star" by Shemane Nugent. This is an excellent book!!! This book shows a side of Rock Stars that many of us do not see or even know about! This book is not about how glamorous The Nugents lives are from day to day or about how wealthy they are! Anyone who has truly read this book and thinks such a thing hasn't read the same book I have! The story of Ted and Shemane Nugent is a true American love story! Their marriage is proof that a marriage CAN work, not just for celebrities but for people everywhere! In a world where people are divorced almost as quickly as they are married, I'm a strong believer in making a marriage work as opposed to just "throwing in the towel". This book has encouraged me reflect on my own marriage and our "good times and bad". This is a perfect book for anyone who has had or is going through a "tough time" in their marriage. Not many of us can "keep up with the Nugents" and that makes their story even more special! Despite all of the trials and tribulations, their marriage has become stronger with time, forgiveness and most of all Love!If you do not have this book, I highly recommend it! I also would like to recommend other books that I have read by The Nugents namely..."God, Guns & Rock'nRoll" and "Kill It & Grill It". These books will truly improve your quality of life for years to come!

Summary: This book came from the HEART!
Review: I recieved this book today from amazon.
Started to read it thinking that I would only read a couple of chapters before going to bed. Ended up that I read the entire book because it was so good and I got alot of unknown information out of it. I also had an affair on my wife many years ago. We have been married now for almost 23 years. I knew that my wife was very heart broken over the mistake that I made, but did not realy understand the pain she went through untill I read about your experience and the deep hurt that you discribed.
Very well done. best book I have read to this date. I learned alot from this book and plan to upgrade my life to a higher standard.

Summary: A hard to put down story.
Review: I started reading this book 2 days ago and am almost done. Shemane dosen't hold back on how or what she feels. It's a must read for anyone that has dreamed about what it would be like being married to a rock star. The trials and tribulations a married couple go through, and how they are conquered are a main focus. This book was written by a very classy woman that has learned to deal with lifes up's & down's and insecurities. I can hardly wait for her to write another chapter after reading the last. A must read whether you agree or disagree with Ted Nugent.

Review: If Shemane helps but one couple going through traumatic times associated with infidelity, then this book and the effort it took her to write it, with all be worth it. Yes, Shemane and Ted enjoy perks of fame and fortune, but make no mistake, she clearly gives numerous examples of "The grass isn't always greener on the other side." And if it is, the persons responsible have worked damn hard to achieve that wonderful green grass! I think the book is not so much about animal rights and politics, although they are intregal parts of the Nugent's lives. I instead found it to be gut wrenching at some moments, yet loving, tender, & funny at other times. A good read. In a world such as it is today, isn't it refreshing to find a couple who honestly believe in and have the guts to pull their relationship together when under stress? It is evident Shemane draws her strength from her friends & family, but more so, her faith. Regardless of what religious doctrine we might believe in, it may do us well to take examples of the paths Shemane and Ted have taken. I respect the courage and honesty it took her to write this book. In a relationship, one never knows if they'll ever need her advice. I look forward to her next book.
