Summary: LAUGH ING OUT LOUD: For anyone with a sense of humor ...
Review: ... Sex, Lies and Stereotypes is a laugh out loud for anyone who can laugh at themselves, friends, family or their love life. I read this book and immediately bought other copies to give away to friends, both gay and straight.

Regardless of the reader's current opinion on subjects from internet dating to ass worshipping you will laugh outloud at the astute and hysterical insights. Don't miss this one -- but beware that you'll want to read all the essays in one sitting!

Summary: Dangerously funny-read at your own risk!
Review: For those of you who have noticed that, yes, your butt looks HUGE in hotel room mirrors, whose repressed Catholic upbringing instilled 'cleanliness is next to godliness' in your crucifix-ridden brain, and who have always wondered, why God why does the Mullet survive as a hairstyle, Kim Ficera's collection of essays will answer these questions and more. Ficera's truthful, and at times, self-deprecating humor make you laugh out loud and realize that you are not alone!

Summary: This Book is Good Fun!
Review: I went ahead and broke rule #7 of Kim Ficera's book, bought a bunch and gave them to friends...and we've all enjoyed it tremendously. As Kim shares her unconventional life with all of us, it evokes great memories of the unconventional lives we all have; so quit riding over potholes and buy this book...you won't regret it!

Summary: Funny is Funny
Review: I'm a huge fan of humor writing and though I'm not a lesbian, Ficera's essays on the ins and outs, up and downs, of her out-of-the-closet life made me laugh out loud. She holds few punches and her punchlines left me with plenty to chew on - loving women, loving men or loving both, it doesn't matter. Heartache is heartache, annoying is annoying, and funny is funny.

Summary: Read it, read it, read it
Review: Raucous and witty, this loose memoir is constructed as a series of stand-alone short pieces that go down smoothly - if you can stop laughing long enough to swallow. Reading this aloud to someone else is like experiencing what a stand-up comedian must feel when her audience is completely on her wave length.

Summary: No breath of fresh air here..
Review: So, I bought this book thinking the author would be a breath of frsh air to GLBT humourists...was I wrong. The stories were bland and unoriginal. Yes, a few chuckles every other page but I would rather read David Sedaris all over again. Folks, don't waste your time and money reading this book.
