Review: Carolee Schneemann has enjoyed a long, fascinating life and career. Art History courses often cover her work but choose to focus on "Interior Scroll", "Site" (Robert Morris) and "Meat Joy". Carolee Schneemann has been working consistently since the 1960s and is sold short in these courses. She is a maverick of 20th century art in performance, video and installation; not to mention a gifted writer, thinker who shows us all that we can, in fact be closer to ourselves, as living art and artists of dailyness and magic.
