Summary: An inspiring, lively read
Review: Author Robin Crow worked twenty years to be a musician, achieving many goals through grueling tour schedules and years on the road - yet he had little to show from decades of work but unhappiness. In his autobiography, Jump And The Net Will Appear, Crow tells how he turned his life around from that of a struggling musician to a successful recording artist, then an entrepreneur - using many of the same tools for success. An inspiring, lively read.

Summary: what?
Review: Has anyone actually read this book? These reviews sound like they were written by the author himself or his secretary. This book is nothing new under the sun, just one of the millions of self help books out there. When did inspirational speaking become so lucrative a career?

Summary: True secrets of success
Review: I am taking the time to write a review because people who are interested in motivational/inspirational speakers should check out this book. This is a motivator with a twist. Sometimes I watch VH1's series called "Where Are They Now?" about musicians who have disappeared, and I wish they would do a TV bio on Robin Crow. It is so refreshing to hear the story of a baby-boomer musician who is not stoned, divorced, or whining, but instead has learned the true secrets of success! This man restores my hope in my generation. I wish Amazon would display the Table of Contents because his chapter titles draw the reader in. They let you know that this book is not only fun to read, but also deep. Some examples are "Leap of Faith," "Are We Having Fun Yet?," "No Limits," and "Remember the Higher Calling." I like the chapter called "Beating the Odds" which describes his (eventually successful) struggle to get a record deal. He even has the courage to include 10 of the 80 letters of rejection he received! But my absolute favorite part of this book is the CD that is included in the hardback version. Some speakers give great information but are difficult to listen to, but Mr. Crow covers very helpful tips on success against an inspirational musical backdrop. It stays in my car -- no muzak here. How can one guy be so multi-talented?

Summary: Realizing The Faith
Review: I highly recommend Robin Crow's "Jump and the Net Will Appear". The content is a gifted rendition of realizing the faith we have in ourselves creates who we are. Opportunities come and go but believing you can do anything is what you base your risk taking upon. Risks we take usually result in the greatest of personal successes. When you read his book you feel the spirit within begin to take flight.

Summary: Don't waste your time
Review: I saw Robin Crow in concert and what he does with a guitar is phenomenal. It almost puts you in a trance state. His story is incredible and he even includes the many rejection letters from the record companies that didn't want to sign him. His Dark Horse Recording Studio is stunning and hand built. A great book!

Summary: An Amazing Musician Too
Review: I saw Robin Crow perform and learned his story before I read the book and he has not only an amzing story to tell but also he's an amazing musician. The studio that he started building on a farm with his last 2,000 dollars is an amazing testament to human will. He even includes the rejection letters from all the record labels that turned him down! Boy they'll be kicking themselves. Get this wonderful read!

Summary: Some good reminders and stories, but nothing very deep
Review: If you are wanting to be roused to action, this book can be of value. I am in a big leap of faith period myself and I found Robin's stories inspiring. Or rather..I chose to be inspired by them. Robin has a good sense of humor and the book moves along in a lively, spirited fashion.

That being said, the book is really quite flat. Most of the wisdom is not original to Robin. Most of it is very obvious stuff: Be persistent, plan ahead, take risks, and so on. The book is basically Robin's life story, and it reads a lot like a VH1 behind the music special.

I think musicians would enjoy this book. As for the rest of us,I think there are better inspirational books out there.
