Review: As the mother of twin girls, I've never had time for baby books or any sort of album to preserve my children's memories...Until I was given Now and Then.

I received two books as gifts. I thought it would take ages to sort through the girls' school treasures, but the cool, colourful and user-friendly format helped us complete each preschool section in about one hour. We had such fun remembering their first year at school and it was great preparation for the coming year. NOW & THEN - we're hooked!

My girls love having their very own books to look at and we're already looking forward to the next section. Gone are the days of filing drawings and photos in envelopes. That was THEN; this is NOW!!! A great gift idea for parents and kids.

Review: Bright, bold colors, creative layout, and simple format - how refreshing! Even though I am not the least bit `crafty', my son and I have had a great time filling in the pages of Now and Then. This was one of the best Christmas presents we received this year - it's fun, inexpensive and has a long shelf life. What more can I ask for in a book?

Review: I already own 2 Now and Then scrapbooks and I was returning to Amazon to buy another as a gift when I read the review about the print quality of this book. My children and I have been using our books since the summer and they are in perfect condition. I hate to see a book that I love get slammed because of a defective copy. The reviewer should have sent the book back and requested another copy instead of jumping to the conclusion that all the books are this way. And, Now and Then is acid-free - it is stated clearly on the back cover.

Summary: Glad I found this book
Review: I had been looking for a school scrapbook for my kids for ages when a friend recommended this one to me. I had seen other books that were quite "childish" in their design and I knew my daughters would out-grow that kind of scrapbook by the time they reached the higher grades. Now and Then's bright colors and funky graphics, however, strike the right balance between fun and cool. And, it's a great way to stay organized and create a kind of snapshot of my kids' personality from year to year. My girls love it!

Summary: The Only Keepsake Needed for Preschool Onwards!
Review: I have never written a review before, but I am so impressed and pleased with this book I wanted to let other prospective buyers know! This book is logical, practical, & easy, but not at the expense of style and fun. What makes this book especially great is that it starts with preschool. I have a 3 year old, and have been giving reading books as birthday presents to his friends. I now plan on giving Now and Then as our birthday gift of choice. I just wish this book was around when I was little - would have loved to have my school memories captured in such an attractive and clever keepsake!

Summary: A Happy Mom
Review: I read a blurb about Now and Then in a magazine and decided to order the book even though I had not seen it first hand. I am so HAPPY I did because now I have somewhere to put all that stuff that my kids bring home from school. No more worries about losing it or wondering if it's all in the same place. I'm a bit fanatic about documenting the kids and it was really bothering me that I did not have one central place to put everything. I know it sounds crazy, but I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders!! I also love the fact that the book is colorful and original looking. I have seen other scrapbooks but this one is definitely the most complete and useful. Oh, and my kids love it too!

Review: I really like Now and Then because of its simplicity. The information you fill-in in each grade is relevant but not exhaustive. It only took and hour to complete the Preschool and Kindergarten sections with my son, and we had a great time doing it together. He can't wait to start Grade 1 so he can start the next section!

Review: I was a bit nervous about ordering Now and Then without seeing inside it, but from everything I read about it, I decided to take a chance. I am happy to report that I love it! It's so nicely laid out and it took me no time to fill in the blanks for my son's Preschool and Kindergarten years. The pockets are big enough for all the papers I had thrown into a box, and now I actually feel organized! And, the bottom line is, this is much nicer than any other school scrapbook I have seen.

Review: My name is Lara Shecter and I am the author/illustrator of Now and Then. Of course, I highly recommend this book, but let me tell you why. I originally developed this book because I wanted a keepsake of the early school years for my own children. When I couldn't find a book on the market that was both simple to complete and attractive to look at, I decided to design my own. Now and Then encompasses everything I set out to achieve. It is extremely easy to use - even the busiest parent can find the time once a year to fill it in, and the design is original and fun. I know this is the best kid's scrapbook available because of all the people that have called and e-mailed me to let me know how much they are enjoying it, and also because I have 3 children who each have a Now and Then Scrapbook. My kids absolutely love the book, not because I made it, but because they make it every time they add something to their books. Don't just take my word for it! Now and Then has received rave reviews from numerous publications including Parents Magazine (Nov. 2004). I am also writing this review to clarify that this current version of Now and Then begins in Preschool, not Kindergarten, and that it has a hard cover. And just remember, when you order Now and Then for the special children in your life, they will thank you today, and they will thank you again when they are all grown-up.

Summary: Great idea, horrible print quality
Review: The book itself has some great concepts and very creative ideas included. It's cute, fun, and looks like it would be a great keepsake once it's completed. Unfortunately though, the print quality was horrible (at least on the book I received, I don't see other complaints so maybe this is a new problem?). The index pags that divide the different years are in a dark ink that transferred all over the place on the facing page, where the photos are supposed to go. The light colors weren't so bad, but the white areas facing the dark pages such as red and purple looked terrible and were covered in large areas of smudgy ink. I am only thankful that this happened BEFORE someone spent a lot of time and effort doing these pages, rather than destroying the photos later on. I also don't see any mention of the book being acid-free, so I wonder how long the "keepsake" would have lasted anyway. Sorry, but I have to recommend finding a book with better print quality.
