Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Big Book of Christmas Songs
Review: The Big Book of Christmas Songs is well-titled. At nearly 300 pages, it contains most of the religious and traditional stand-bys, plus lots of songs I never heard of. The songs it notably lacks, however, are children's favorites. It does not have Rudolph the Rednose Raindeer, Frosty the Snowman, the Little Drummer Boy, etc.. As for the old standby's, the arrangements are well written for the intermediate piano player (I can't comment on the guitar). It has pretty and relatively simple versions of O Holy Night and Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring. All in all it is a good choice for the buyer who wants a basic anthology of Christmas Music.
