Rating: Summary: The Beatles Complete Scores Review: Have had it well over a year. Best thing since using the ears listing to the LPs to learn bass lines. Between both you can learn much quicker, makes it much faster and easier.
I use the combination of both on every song.
Has changed the way I used to play many songs.
Wouldn't be without it.
Worth every cent and then some !
Also great for all the guitar cords & tabs as well as lead riffs.
And lets not forget the drum tabs ------------
Everything not 100% correct but is a fantistic help !
Have had several of my guitarist buddys but this one after seeing mine, still have buddys buying it after seeing it !!!!!!

Rating: Summary: disregard those bad reviews Review: I'm really at a loss to explain how some people are complaining about this book.
If you could only own one book of sheet music, this HAS to be your choice. The most important music of the 20th century, note-for-note.
The dead-on vocal arrangements alone make it worth the money. Get a couple friends together and try singing the intro to Nowhere Man...you won't believe the results.
The guitar tab and sheet music are phenomenal as well.
And as for all the "flaws" that people keep complaing about in their reviews: i need specifics! Because i haven't found a single one. Maybe Revolution 9, but who's trying to play that anyway?
I searched through the reviews looking for a single specific example of an error, and all i came up with was someone mentioning "No Reply", and how the chords were all wrong. Sorry buddy, your "trained ear" is flat-out wrong! They've got it exactly right. The minor chords don't come in till the "i saw the light!" section, just as it is notated.
If you buy this book, you are getting the songs exactly as the Beatles played them. Period.
Is the book too small? No. It may not be optimal for putting on a piano or a music stand, but thats not how these songs should be played anyway. MEMORIZE them and then perform them. The Beatles never performed with sheet music (they couldn't even read sheet music!) and neither should you.
Besides, this book is 1136 pages! If it were enlarged any more most people probably couldn't even lift its weight.
Rating: Summary: FAB 4 FANTASTIC Review: OK, This is not a perfect translation of the best pop songs ever written. It is however pretty damn close. There are small micro details missed and some typo's. Other than those tiny problems, this book is damn near perfect. Remeber when we were young pups learning to play guitar? Those lame Beatle music books had all the wrong chords so trying to play along with the records was futile . This book corrects that problem and tries to teach us the correct way to play these songs. Best tab job I've ever seen.
BUY THIS BOOK, PLAY ALONG, YEAH YEAH YEAH
Rating: Summary: A Bionic Eye Review: That's about what you need to read this book. I was so geeked up because here I read all these great reviews about this book, obviously by Beatle lovers as myself, but what a dissappointment! The writing is sooooooooooooooo small you need a magnifying glass to see the tablature. Do yourself a favor if it's looking for good, I mean GOOD Beatle tablature, get the Complete Beatles volumes 1 & 2. A lot cheaper than this book and much, much easier to read!
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Rock and Roll Transcription Out There! Review: The massive undertaking of this project makes it a gift from Rock and Roll Heaven! Every major instrument on Beatles records written out for the needy to learn and the curious to discover! Of course, it's impossible to take what was never written down in the first place and write it all down perfectly, (not to mention, infusion of character!) but this book will get the average musician at least 90 percent of the way there. That's something I could never do on my own! And why not add a little originality along the way to make up for the remaining 10 percent? While it's not exactly the same string, fret, etc, it'll get you to where you can find the rest on your own. It'll also send your fingers in new musical directions they've never gone before! Although I'd like to keep this book as my own little secret, might as well reward the guys who labored so hard on it! This book can do so many things for you! It is a lifetime's worth of jamming, practice, reference and study. Yes, it's a Beatles Bible!
Rating: Summary: Every note, every rhythm, every dropped pin Review: This book is one of the most extraordinary contributions to the world of music and musicians in the past decade. The intricacy of some of these recordings is simply fantastic. From the astounding breakdown of "Revolution 9" (which includes indications of the beginning and end of every throwaway noise sample used) to the perfect transcription of their early pop masterpieces, every song is here with every note represented.
The only drawback --- and it's a small one --- is that the type is rather small. If you're using this to play along to (as I do), I recommend doing so in a well-lit room. Enjoy!!
Rating: Summary: The Best There Is... For Now Review: This book is undoubtably the best Beatles songbook ever written. The transcriptions are usually dead-on and the voicing is replicated exactly. However, for the Beatles purist (such as myself) there are a few instances of miscalculation. For example, in "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" the second verse (the one in which the wood blocks are used), George Harrison (yes -- Harrison) laid down an exceptionally brillant bass line, different from that heard in the first verse, but the repeat does not show that, and the new bass line is not transcribed. It is because of nuiances like these scattered throughout the book that could fustrate the avid Beatles fan/musician, but this book still stands as the most faithful reproduction of their music on paper to date. The music is all HAND-WRITTEN, and was transcribed by only 4 people. Plus, the sheer volume of Beatles music (the entire catalouge) should be reason enough for any Beatles fan/musician to purcase this book first thing in the morning. It is the only Beatles music book you should need (guitar lines are even laid out in Tablature form), except if you are looking to perform more solo-acoustic renditions of certain songs, in which case I recomend the Bealtes Acoustic Songbook.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: This is by far, hands down, the best book you can get to play the music of the Beatles. For this price, you can't go wrong, it's literally a bible to the Beatles catalog. It's all right there in one book, amazing.
Rating: Summary: The definitive reference for Beatles Tunes. Review: This is the most accurate account of the Beatles music that I have seen. As a guitarist for over 20 years who regularly performs Beatles tunes, this is a blessing to have. I managed to obtain a used copy from an Amazon Shopper at 1/2 the cost.

Rating: Summary: Best Score so far. . . mistakes, but only one out there! Review: This score is awesome. There are some chord symbol mistakes. Eb where it should be E and other such minor mistakes, but if used in combination with listening to original albums this book can be very helpful.
Mistakes as I said, but this collection may not be revised for a very long time and as a musician and a composer I really appreciate this collection.
