Rating: Summary: Great book but... Review: This book is a wonderful resource and a great addition to the books that Chris Bentley has already written about Gerry Anderson's various shows. It is chock full of rare photographs and information. There is also a great section about the marketing and merchandising of the show which contains a great deal of information that is not readily available. I do have two reservations about the book though.First, the contents of the book are purely in black and white, unlike Bentley's books about Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlett. At least I was hoping for a color section in the middle. Economics aside, a color TV show deserves some color photographs. Second, there is little concerning the effects of UFO, or the contributions of Derek Meddings and his crew of effects experts. The subject matter is covered and may well be all that the average fan of the show needs to know without getting too technical. On the plus side, there's a great deal of information about the actors of the show, plus information about the individual episodes themselves. All in all, a great resource and I hope that more books are forthcoming regarding other Anderson programs.
