Rating: Summary: Lots of songs! Review: If you are wondering what songs are included, here's a list. I like that there are well known blues songs from various eras and people: New Orleans, Chicago, Bessie Smith, WC Handy songs etc. It is a good all-round book. I wouldn't have minded fuller arrangements on some songs (that's why only 4 stars) but the books is still a great buy. The ring binding is nice; it stays on the music stand. Ask Me No Questions, Baby, Let's Play House, Baby Please Don't Go, Baby What You Want Me To Do, Baby Won't You Please Come Home, Back Door Man, Basin Street Blues, Billie's Blues (I Love My Man), Blue Turning Grey Over You, Blues Before Sunrise, Blues My Naughty Sweetie Gave To Me, Blues With A Feeling, Boogie Chillen No. 2, Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights), Can't Hold Out Much Longer, Cherry Red, Chicago Blues, Confessin' The Blues, Cow Cow Blues, Crazy Blues, Cross Road Blues (Crossroads), Damn Your Eyes, Checkin' Up On My Baby, The Dirty Dozens, Diving Duck, Double Trouble, Down Hearted Blues, Everyday (I Have The Blues), Fine And Mellow, Frisco Blues, Gee Baby Ain't I Good To You, Gloomy Sunday, A Good Man Is Hard To Find, Gulf Coast Blues, Hear Me Talkin' To Ya, Help Me, How Long, How Long Blues, I Just Want To Make Love To You, I'd Rather Drink Muddy Water, I'm A Man, I'm Gonna Move On The Outskirts Of Town, I'm Your Hoochie Coochie Man, I'm Ready, In The Evening (When The Sun Goes Down), It's A Low Down Dirty Shame, Jailhouse Blues, The Jazz-Me Blues, Jelly Roll Blues, Just A Dream, Little Red Rooster, Mad About Him, Sad Without Him, How Can I Be Glad Without Him Blues, Mannish Boy, Mean Old Frisco Blues, Mean Old World, Mean Woman Blues, Milk Cow Blues, Mule Kicking In My Stall, My Babe, My Baby Left Me, My Man Blues, Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out, Paying The Cost To Be The Boss, Pinetop's Blues, Rock Me Baby, Roll 'em Pete, Rollin' Stone (Catfish Blues), See See Rider, The Seventh Son, Smokestack Lightning, Some Of These Days, Spoonful, Saint James Infirmary, St. Louis Blues, Strange Fruit, Sugar Blues, Tain't Nobody's Biz-ness If I Do, Texas Flood, That's All Right, The Thrill Is Gone, Tin Roof Blues, Tishomingo Blues, Tobacco Road, Trouble In Mind, Walkin' By Myself, Weary Blues, West End Blues, When The Sun Comes Out, Who Do You Love, Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money, Too!), Why I Sing The Blues, Wolverine Blues, Worried Life Blues, Worried Man Blues, Your Red Wagon, Memphis Blues, Yellow Dog Blues

Rating: Summary: Very good Blues compilation Review: This is purely a book of blues songs. This books contains well known as well as some more obscure blues pieces. The arrangements range from very basic to very complete. None of the arrangements provide extended "blues solos" or blues riffs"....(this sort of improvisation will be up to you). The arrangements do however give you complete songs, with key, time-signature, and tempo markings. It also includes chords as well as single note melodies AND it inclues bass lines. NOTE: This is NOT a "how to" book. If you want blues theory and/or instruction look elsewhere. This is a song book.
