Rating: Summary: It was just alright..... Review: Frankly, I was disappointed by this book. Although it had one or two good tips, it certainly was not the arsenal of cool sex tips that it's made out to be. I've gotten more information from some other books I've read (The Ultimate Guide to Performing Fellatio). Decent for a beach read, but don't expect rockets.
Rating: Summary: Great !!!! Review: I bought this book 3 years ago and it is very helpful. Especially the part of going down on a man. I received a diamond ring about a month after using the suggestions in this book. Now I keep it in the nightstand as a refresher. It has very good suggestions in it.
Rating: Summary: A highly entertaining and unique sex manual Review: I loved reading this book, co-written by a gay man and his straight female best friend. They take turns writing their thoughts and tips, and it is highly entertaining and often very helpful. I have always maintained that a gay man is one of the best sources for a straight woman to go to for how to please a man. And, they give new meaning to tubes of cookie dough. The illustrations are incredibly good. It's a light, entertaining, and often eye-opening read, and I think some of the tips are incredibly good.
Rating: Summary: Did what few could do! Review: If I might say so myself, I was a toe-tingler before I read this book. Now I'm a full-body tingler! Typically I don't bother with sex manuals because they either suggest technically impractical/impossible/silly maneuvers, or else tell me things I already knew. This one is different - funny, practical, and provides general guidelines as well as specific suggestions. I will endorse the advice therein for two reasons: One, the book includes some of my own tried-and-true techniques. Two, I tried the ones I didn't already know. They didn't seem contrived at all, and they did add to the experience. The non-technical illustrations in this book are absolutely charming, I love them. If I have one criticism, it's the book's frequent suggestions that good sex leads to financial reward. I bought this book intending to rock my man, not just shake the change out of his pants. A smart girl can get that without sex anyway. Hmm, maybe I should write a book of my own?
Rating: Summary: This book was etertaining more than educational. Review: The tips in this book were fun and productive. I found it entertaining more than educational. The techniques were well thought out. I would recommend this book to any straight woman and gay man that is clueless to the male anatomy.
Rating: Summary: Good tips, but glaring misconceptions ruin it Review: This book had some tips that sounded pretty good (and that I'll probably use in the future), but this book had two big problems that caused me to stop reading the book, despite the former good tips that I had enjoyed. Those two things are the authors. Maggie comes across in the book as the most vanilla woman ever. There's nothing really wrong with that, but it doesn't really work on a sex advice book. She and the other women in the book don't seem open to anything that's really kinky, and thus I felt there wasn't anything she could tell me that I didn't already know. Then there's Dan, who proved that just because you're in the minority doesn't mean you're enlightened. ... ......Also, some of his tips seemed impossible to carry out. ("The Flying Wandella") All in all, I think I'll go to a straight man the next time I want to learn how to please one. These guys aren't worth it.
Rating: Summary: I got the tennis bracelet Review: This book was really great - funny, insightful and honest. The tips outlined were terrific. Apparently I did master the techniques as I finally did get a diamond tennis bracelet for Christmas one year.
Rating: Summary: Cute books but tips useless! Review: This book was really well done with regards to its artwork and writing style. It's got a really cute/kitchy retro style. But are you buying the book for its artwork or for its tips, supposedly coming from those who would surely know? Well, I bought it for some good tips, and without getting too specific in a public forum, let's just say that I do not recommend any of the advice given!! Two of the techniques in particular were completely to the contrary of what any of my partners have since said they like. This book was a great idea in theory, but in my experience, it wasn't the least bit useful. Use at your own risk!
Rating: Summary: I got the tennis bracelet Review: This is one of the best books I have ever read! My best friend and I could not stop laughing as we took turns reading during a road trip. Tips include everying from entering a room in style to getting your guy to buy you Tiffany's. This book provided hours of entertainment and had my boyfriend asking where I had learned my new 'tricks'! Absolutely fabulous!
