Review: This Dover edition cost effectively presents the full scores to Liszt's "Les Preludes", "Mazeppa", and "Heroide Funebre". It is easy to read the notes on the staves due to the large (9.5x12) size of the book, however, each page does not include an abbreviation of the instruments marking which staff is theirs, which makes it difficult to follow sometimes when the number of instruments on the page changes. There is also no commentary or criticism included in this volume. But for those who wish to study Liszt, this could be a handy tool in studying his symphonic writing.
