Summary: I'm still laughing after many re-reads
Review: Don Edgley has captured hundreds of funny stories about the "natives" of this small Adirondack Village of Lake Placid NY.

Known as the Winter Sports Capiital of the World, Lake Placid and it's people have kept their small town character in spite of hosting two Winter Olympics and numerous world class events; and Don has captured the small town "character" of Lake Placid people with humorous stories of over 200 "natives".

From stories about Melvil Dewey, the inventor of the Dewey Decimal System, through stories of Bill "Tubby" Colby, Don's best friend, who as a youthful pitcher struck out the great Roger Maris this book will tickle your funny bone and you will re-read this book as I have and recommend it to friends who like good stories.

Summary: The "Edge" of Humor
Review: Don is a fledgling Samuel Clemens. He earns the right to be judged on his humor and the colloquiial language of the Adirondacks and the Lake Placid area. Some of his stories will bring out hearty laughter and laughing tears while most will bring a smile. If you are looking for good, clean humor, this is the book for you and your children.
