Summary: Barrueco magically touched the music of Ernesto Lecuona
Review: A lively collection of selected Lecuona songs arranged for guitar by Barrueco. It is very practical in standard and also in tablature notation giving all the players a unique edition. Fingerings are also included by the master himself. I have to tell you the content is very attractive since I have great admiration to Lecuona's music which both consists of Cuban flavour of Spanish musical structures and joyful African rhythms. Barrueco seems to catch the point to integrate and refine these two different but close-in-style kinds. I strongly recommend this scores for one who wants to get into the Lecuona's art and depths of guitar music. And as a last word for master Barrueco's gift; it reminds me the avant-garde style of Toru Takemitsu which I found the same taste in his arrangements.
