Summary: Laugh-o-rama!
Review: Campy and ridiculous and very funny! This collection of really godawful movie lines is definitely stupid, but a lot of laughs. There are special sections in here that are really a hoot (there's one about bad romantic lines that killed me). Loved it -- but I wish there had been more special sections, personally.

Summary: Loads of great bad movie lines. Yum!
Review: I bought this book through a link on the Stinkers Bad Movie Awards website. It has a lot of hilarious, awkward, or just plain ridiculous movie lines, soliloquies, trailer teasers, and more. Although the lines probably sounded goofier on movie soundtracks than they read on the printed page, they're still a ball! They hark back to the times when bad movies were amusingly cheesy grade-Z cinema during the heyday of the Cold War, and were hilarious enough to rate an entry on Mystery Science Theater 3000 - unlike today's giant, bloated multi-million-dollar megaton cheesebombs, which aren't entertaining (or any fun) at all. The book proves that Joe Esterhazs (whose is quoted here) gets paid $3 million a script to achieve the same low quality that the cheesemasters of yore did, for way less. Buy this book, get a can of Pringles and a cheap soda, and enjoy. By the way, if you like this book, the authors say in the intro that they are putting together a sequel! Yum!

Summary: I got quoted!!!
Review: Okay, maybe everyone was NOT as excited to be quoted in this book as I was, but I was VERY enthusiastic! There's a passage quoted from the Japanese monster movie, "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe" where it lists the people as "Man" and "Woman". Well, the woman is ME!

I did the English voice for the character of Dr. Nagamine in the American dub of this film (portrayed by Shinobu Nakayama), and it doesn't give a credit for the actors (Japanese or American).

What are the lines, you ask?
Man (voiced by Aaron Krohn): I'd like to take you out in a monster free city.

Woman (ME!): I'd like that.

Well, I'd probably like the book even if I weren't in it. But I'd give it four and a half stars.

Regards,

Tiffany Grant

Summary: Laugh-o-rama!
Review: Overall, I was interested in the idea of this book, but the way this book was put together is a bit disappointing. It's just one giant list of bad movie lines. True, this is what the title says, but why not arrange it where you get a background on the movie then they give you the stupid lines?

You'd have to see every single terrible movie to really appreciate all these movie lines, and who wants to see a ton of terrible movies? So unless you've seen every single movie that they took lines out of, I wouldn't recommend this one.
