The format is attractive for such an inexpensive book, and it's a quick read. Main liabilities: don't forget your magnifying lens, since many of the photographs are postage-stamp size. Allowances must also be made for modestly superfluous photographs and text regarding the German musical theater scene, since the book is a translation of a German original. If you're looking for an inexpensive introduction to musicals, this is a good one.
