Summary: I suppose its OK
Review: In the world of chess writers Motwani has the reputation of a hack. Since Im not a chess master I cant judge the annotations to the games and say whether or not they are totally accurate or not. The book appears to be of high quality though, with 26 complete games and many puzzles to solve. The questions Motwani asks along the way are annoying. He will make up hypothetical situations and confuse the reader for no reason other than to fill space. Hack is right. Why did I buy this?

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Eccentric, but not a hack
Review: Motwani is indeed somewhat eccentric; but a "hack" isd generally considered someone who cranks out illegitimate garbage. While Motwani has some bizarre tangents in his books, 95% of the book, which is the pure chess material, is first rate.
