Review: I purchased this book as a beginning guitarist attempting to learn basic notes and sight reading. It is terrific. Most instruction books contain only a few tunes, and those are mostly old standards and historical works that may not be especially interesting to the modern player. This is different. The pieces are interesting, novel and sometimes surprising. The sophistication of the compositions increase at a gradual pace allowing the beginner to learn without feeling overwhelmed. all in all, a really good, entertaining learning tool.
