Rating: Summary: Awesomely moving poetry; great stories, great word-working Review: This is a a great book. It isn't filled with hard words or impossible to understand phrases; but it is hard - the stories it tells ring as deeply truthful, there is a surprise around every comma, and words do things here that one might not expect. There are variations on classic poetry forms (which are so subtle that they can easily be overlooked - and if you don't even notice/know, that's OK too). Its about fathers and sons, being a Dad, claiming one's space/place as a gay man, growing up, being an American, recovering the past and living fully in the present. This book will resonant with just about anyone who has the courage to read it with the same honesty as it is written. Poetry books are rarely page turners, but this one is!
