Summary: Readable, Enjoyable, Vital
Review: This warmly elegiac tribute to President Reagan by one of his speechwriters packs weight that belies its 260 pages. It is respectful without being the least reverential. The author shares telling vignettes of his time with the President that help the reader understand what made Reagan such an effective leader and how he came to embody essential traits of America and Americans. Mr. Robinson also distills lessons about leadership, ethics, and human relationships from his observation of the President as well as his White House experiences that should make this book a must for high school and college reading lists and for community and church book circles. Other biographers have labored mightily and yet failed to grasp what made this President tick; Mr. Robinson has done so effortlessly, it seems, perhaps by opening not only his eyes and ears but also his heart.

Summary: Best Book
Review: This was one of the most inspirational and moving books I have ever read. A great tribute to an even greater president.

Summary: A Must Read on the Heart of Ronald Reagan
Review: This wonderful book reveals the character and heart of Ronald Reagan and how that character affected his presidency and everyone who came in contact with him. Robinson looks at Reagan's faults as well as his attributes. He writes with humor, humility, and honesty. I loved it!

Summary: Reagan changed many lives
Review: Throughout his political career, Uncle Ronnie changed many lives not just the author's. Why look at all the poor & mentally ill he put on the streets while Governor of CA. Or how about all the people who had to suffer & die from AIDS just because he chose to ignore a growing epidemic. Then there was the excessive "defense" spending that put this country in the hole. Why it looks like he has changed each and everyone one of us, but was it for the best???

Summary: A Wonderful Read
Review: What could be a more wonderful topic than the humor and wisdom of Ronald Reagan? A dozen such books could come out and I would likely read all of them. Thankfully, Robinson's book is so masterful that I needn't wait for others to tackle the subject. Robinson is very fortunate to have spent time with such proximity to this great man, and we should consider ourselves fortunate that Robinson has written about it. A great read.

Summary: A Real American Hero
Review: When Ronald Regan first ran for President I was fortunate enough to get a wave and a smile from him. He looked right at me, or so I felt, and I knew he would be our next President.
You will learn how honorable, decent, courageous, witty and smart he was with those around him.
This book describes the best president this country has ever had. You will learn how he ended the Cold War and brought the economy to new records. He had faults but who doesn't? It's really neat how this speechwriter grew in to a man by reflecting on Ronald Regan.
Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

Summary: A Wonderful Trip Down Memory Lane
Review: Wow, it's nice to read a book that doesn't have a political agenda. This book was not written to convince Democracts to become Republicans. Rather, it's simply a warm look back at the wonderful man and president that Ronald Reagan was to us. I had forgotten about so many of President Reagan's attributes. Witty, funny, stern, and a man with incredible vision. Reading the endless anecdotes brought back so many pleasant memories for me. The book started strong and continued that pace until the end. I was sad when I had gotten to the end. I am proud to have grown up with Ronald Reagan as our 40th President. This book is a wonderful read. As for the negative reviews, I can honestly say that they must be politically motivated. Anybody who liked Reagan will have a flood of old memories come back when they read this book.
