Review: Like many others, I have read a bunch of "how-to" books on getting organized, but this is the first one that I found really helpful. "Sink Reflections" is written by Marcia Cilley, also known as the Flylady. In the book, F.L.Y. stands for "Finally Loving Yourself". Rather than try to fit you into a cookie cutter program, this book encourages you to make routines that work for you, and then stick to them.

The author also gives a lot of really helpful advice, such as identifying hot spots in your home that constantly accumulate junk, and how to control these areas.

This book was really supportive. Many other organizational books assume that disorganized people are just failures, whereas this book points out that being organized is a leanred skill. And the book is here to hold your hand and help you to learn.

I can't recommend this book hihgly enough! Thanks for helping me to FLY!!

Summary: Stepford like in a way. Helpful for the totally lost maybe
Review: I'm sorry I know the followers of this woman stick together like a tidy pack of wolves and for all the love and acceptance they supposedly preach are very intolerant of negative views. I just find this book very boring and uninspiring. I'm not one for syrupy overtones and religious preachings so a lot of the message I find rather unbearable. I think the intentions are wonderful and if you like a combination of "cutesy" and "goosestepping" you'll probably find some workable ideas. If you are more urban this book will not be for you. Julie Morgenstern will probably be more in keeping with your lifestyle. It's not a bad book, it's just not a very good book either. Sorry.

Summary: A place for everthing and everything in it's place!!!
Review: This book has engraved it's place in my heart. I have read it 3 times! And, I will probably read it several more times. I learn more each time I read it. I LOVE this book and FlyLady. She is amazing! I can not say enough good things! Buy this book and you won't be sorry. It makes you want to do better in all areas of your life, not just keeping a tidy home. I am uplifted each time I read from this book. I am in the process of making my own Control Journal that FlyLady talks about in her book and her website--www.flylady.com visit her website, there is an abundance of help in setting goals and meeting them. If you want a clean and organized home, read and follow this book. She guides you step by step. I only wish I had this book 11 years ago when I got married. I was always somewhat of a BO-Born Organizer, but I have gained so much from this book. I am purchasing the "Saving Dinner" book that FlyLady recommends--I hope it is just as good at helping me get out of the "what's for dinner?" rut. I am usually good at planning menu's and getting them made, but I get in a rut and make the same things month after month. I hope by buying the "Saving Dinner" book, I can have a whole years worth of different meals that my family will love to eat and I will love to cook. Review: THIS WAS THE FIRST ORGANIZATIONAL BOOK I HAVE EVER FOUND THAT WAS REALLY WAS HELPFUL. IT IS SUPPORTIVE AND SO SIMPLE. THE AUTHOR IS SO CARING ABOUT GETTING YOUR LIFE IN ORDER. THIS IS A SOLUTION, NOT ANOTHER BOOK THAT NEEDS TO BE TOSSED LATER. THE AUTHOR IS SWEET CARING AND VERY REAL!! DON'T BE JADED, YOU CAN IMPROVE YOUR LIFE, START WITH YOUR HOME AND REDUCE YOUR STRESS!! Review: I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I am a flybaby and proud of it!! If you just don't know where to begin then this book is for you! This book shows you how to get *yourself* and your house together WITHOUT spending all day doing it. You just have to STOP THE WHINING and THE BLAMING, get off your franny for 15 mins and do anything!! I am amazed what can be accomplished in so little time. Reading this book is like sitting down with a friend who is going to help you figure how to get things done. It is easy and fun to read...and just makes so much sense! Now why didn't I think of that? Review: Very simple easy to read book. Everything in here is common sense, but it really hit home with me. This in addition to the www.flylady.net website can really change your way of life and your attitude about much more than just house keeping.
