Rating: Summary: Well written but too sad for most folks Review: The author is abandoned by his family at 17 and ends up being raped by a stranger. After that encounter he's discovered by a "friendly" manager who sells him to well to do women as a male prostitute. This aint Richard Gere in American Gigolo and it's not Deuce Bigelo either. There's no romance or beauty in the boy toy business. The book is not fun but it's well written. You get an unfiltered look into an ugly world. Luckily, the author escaped the chicken life relatively unscathed. How successful will this book be? Somehow I don't expect to see this book on too many people's coffee tables and I doubt that it will be cocktail party conversation.
Rating: Summary: Chicken - Book Review: Very insightful, it certainly has a deeper meaning than just the average "For Rent" Book. When I read the book, it was as if I was walking the streets, walking up the stairs or talking to certain people. It is written in a very catching and truthful way, nothing was made up, and the intimacy of it, for me it was an honor to read it and to relate. Thank you very much, dear Author!
