Summary: Too Simplistic
Review: having read the author's newer book, "Investment Blunders", I was disappointed. The book is simplistic, with little truly enlightening information. A book that covers many of the pitfalls, and supplies the reader with material of substance is William Bernstein's, Four Pillars. I would not spend money on this book.

Summary: Simple truths are enduring truths
Review: I read this book over the weekend and I am glad to have it in my investment library. It is well written and the information is truly valuable and thought provoking. There are several simple truths that Professor Nofsinger addresses, but the one I found most timely and important to me personally is that more information does not equate with more knowledge. Reading Investment Madness caused me to look in the mirror and identify the psychological flaws I bring to my own investment program. I highly recommend this book to anyone who thinks investing successfully is a simple task based mostly on the immediate access to better information. If only it were that simple!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Every Investor should read this book!
Review: This is an easy-to-read introduction to behavioral finance. Nofsinger writes simply and plainly about the psychological biases that cause people to make bad investment decisions. Don't buy or sell anything until you read this book!

Summary: The Best Book I've Read on Psychology of Investing
Review: To make a long story short, I was one of those traders who did well when "everyone was a genius in the bull market" of the late 90's!!
Since then, I've been studying hard, & have realized that (at least) 90% of my trading success is psychological.
I've been to a therapist, read many books, consulted online, etc.
Until I read "Investment Madness" I just couldn't figure out what was going on with me & my trading losses.
It is now so obvious, & the author explained it so clearly in his chapter on "Pride & Regret".
This book explains why I reacted the way I did, and it helped me to change my behavior, & become a more successful trader.
Highly recommended!!!
