Rating: Summary: This is one great book! Review: After listening to Howard Stern and Steve Pell talk about different ways and places to pick up women, I am convinced that Steve and Howard would end up in a dead heat if there was a race to see who could pick up the most women in a given period of time. This book provides some of the best information on how to go about picking up women that I've ever read and some of the most unique and unusual ways and places to pick up girls that I've ever heard of. I recommend this book to any man who wants to become more successful at picking up women.
Rating: Summary: Left out again Review: Amazon must have cottoned on to the fact that I'm a connoisseur of these kinds of books, since it keeps recommending them to me. However, this one has a particular slant which, while I'm sure it makes it appealing to many, renders the book a bit unsuitable for me personally. I hope that by communicating this fact, Amazon may be able to improve their already quite good recommendation service. Like anyone, I'm very much in the market for picking up girls, and am always on the lookout for tips and information on how I can improve my techniques and my "hit" rate. The issue, as far as this particular book is concerned, is that I'm actually quite good looking. Many girls (and some boys!) have commented on my good looks, and I find that my looks serve me well in the game of picking up girls. Of course, I can't expect Amazon to be aware of this fact, since to my knowledge they've never seen me, but by hereby providing this information, perhaps it can be taken into account for future recommendations? If anyone would like photographic evidence of the fact that I'm not an average looking guy, please email me. This particularly applies to girls, since it could be another good opportunity for me to practice my girl-picking-up techniques. There is a dearth of self-help books catering to good-looking, well-adjusted, perfectly contented people such as myself, and this should change, since I'm tired of being left out.
Rating: Summary: MORE WOMEN THAN YOU CAN HANDLE! Review: As a regular listener of the Howard Stern Show, I can tell you that Howard is rarely ever shocked at anything. But he was indeed shocked when Steve Pell told him about some of the ways he went about picking up women. That alone was enough to make me buy this book. And I'm glad I did because what I found in this book are some of the most imaginative ways and places to pick up women I've ever heard of in my life, and, so far, they are working for me.
Rating: Summary: Look somewhere else Review: It gives 200 ways to get women. Some of the ways of meeting women are good. Some, in my opinion, sound desperate. For example, writing your number on a bunch of helium balloons and releasing them? I don't see any hot women falling for that, sorry. You may get calls from transsexuals or roseanne barr look alikes, though. This book would be great for the guy who wants to get as many women as possible, regardless of the method, regardless of how good the woman is. Some methods are clean and lack getting the girl emotionally involved with you but some can be messy, are designed to deceive, and hurt the women. Some are hillarious. Dating a hooker and getting it on for free? There are plenty of gems in the book though and therefore it is worth reading. Note: you will only get ideas in this book, not how you actually strike up a conversation or say the right things.
Rating: Summary: yeah whatever. Review: It's a funny book. Which is really the best you can hope for in this type of literature. If you are really hinging your hopes of scoring on a book - well just buck up and hire a pro. seriously. And toss that guilt out the window about it. This book ain't gonna change your life - but for what it is, it did make me chuckle now and again.
Rating: Summary: WOW Review: Part One of this book, "Getting You Ready for Part Two", is about the best thing I've ever seen written when it comes to giving a man the confidence he will need to go about picking up women. After reading Part One, I felt as if I could pick up any woman, any time, any place! I especially liked the following chapters: Pick Up Attitute, The Art of Conversation, Imagination, Nerve, Move Quick - Don't Hesitate, How to Turn a Turn Down into a Turn On, Asking a Girl Out, and Successful with Women - Successful with Your Career.I also gained a lot of knowledge about women in general from the "64" thoughts and suggestions given to help make you more successful with women. Now that I've finished reading this book (for the 3rd time), I'm more than ready to get started trying out some of the pick up ideas given in the book
Rating: Summary: Look somewhere else Review: This book starts off like it will be a good book but it ends up being a not so good book. I gave it 1 star only because I enjoyed reading the begining. The examples given seem really made up rather than it being a true experiences. Look for other books.
