Summary: Clear and enlightening
Review: I have read some of the available material on the subject before only to find out vague and speculative information. I find this book to be clear, documented, straight, ordered and easy to read, really very helpfull. For the first time someone deals with the subject straight and from different points of view giving us clear answers and practical solutions. I highly recommend it to anyone who either suffers from trich or has someone loved who does as well as for therapists or any other proffesional interested in the subject.

Summary: A Very Helpful Book - Highly Recommended
Review: I would recommend this book to anyone who pulls out their hair, or anyone who is close to someone who does. This is not a huge book, but it is packed full of helpful information. It is written in a clear, informative, and easy-to-read manner. The authors obviously have extensive experience and really know what they are talking about. The examples are very realistic as well. A few of the chapters include one just about medication, one just for friends and family, and several with specific cognitive and behavioral exercises you can start to do right away. Most of the chapters get you involved with exercises, some of which you will do every day, so get a notebook ready! The book is not overwhelming but will show you how to start out slowly by keeping track of your daily hair pulling, and progressing to more advanced exercises that will help you gain control of your pulling. Although I am just starting out working with this book, I can see it has great potential to really help me and I highly recommend it.
