I raced thru the pages and came to truly understand marriage, love, intimacy, romance, sex, commitment, honor, joy, patience, forgiveness and hope in ways I never would have without the book.

Simply put, I advise all of my friends and anyone who will listen, to grab their Bible, this book and your spouse/spouse-to-be, find a comfortable spot and read, discuss and experience this book together.

If you are truly seeking God's purpose for your marriage, are in the middle of a crisis or are thinking of getting married, involve God everyday, and READ this book ... it WILL make a difference in your life, marriage and love life.

Review: I've read a lot of books on marriage, attended a lot of marriage counseling, and even been in study groups. Nothing has ever driven it home to me more than Doctor Wheat's book.
Doctor Wheat takes a slighty different approach to marriage in this book. Everything that is in this book, he takes back to scripture out of the Holy Bible. I've never seen an author base so much of their findings on scripture as Dr Wheat has. As Doctor Wheat explains in the book, (paraphrased) "Follow these instructions to the letter, and give it 6 months to see change." Even if you don't think you need improvement, you need to read this book. Quick reading, to the point, excellent choice. This book is indeed a God-send!!! Thank you Jesus!!!

Summary: The best book for couples... Ever!
Review: I've read many books on relationships and this book without a doubt is the best by far. Ed Wheat uses Biblical Scriptures to show you how to be the spouse that God says you should be.

God designed us. Who better knows how we work and should function in the closest relationship on earth?

I recommend this book for every married couple. If you have a good marriage, this will make it better. If you're facing a divorce use this book to save your marriage.

Approaching his book in an easy to follow and practical way as well as biblically sound, Dr. Wheat has given us a book that acknowledges the fact that possibly only one partner in the marriage is concerned about making the marriage work, yet if the one partner is willing to 'hang in there' and work, the marriage can be saved. As a skeptic of counseling books in general, I highly recommend this book as the best I've ever read

Review: This book saved my marriage many years ago. It gives a perspective where many of us often forget what marriage is really all about. Whether you are a spiritual person or not, the content is the most powerful I have ever read. It is scripture based. The exercises and material can only make your relationship stronger if not save it altogether.

Review: When my husband and I arrived at our honeymoon cottage, the lady of the house decided to leave this book out for us. Because we were busy doing other things, I was only able to read half way through the book. It is wonderful. We are still very much in love, since we just got married, but it contains a lot of life long advice, which I will hold on too. Its also very impressive how he completely bases his teaching on the Word of God, which is the only way to go.
