Summary: Great Help For Those of Us Contemplating The Field
Review: I purchased this book as a possible solution to all of the questions that I have about starting an independent practice in the mental health field. I really reccommend reading this if you are still in college or just starting out. This book provides a comprehensive view of the business aspect of running an independent practice. While it did not answer all of my questions, especially about managed care, it does really get you to thinking about the aspects that you need to cover before starting a private practice.

Summary: A Great Introduction
Review: This book covers the basics of starting a Private Practice. It is especially helpful because the two authors come from the opposite ends of experience in private practice: he has been working in private practice for years and she has just started recently. The book doesn't go into any depth on how to start and maintain a private practice, but it's a great starting place to get yourself acquainted to what you need to consider if having a practice. Highly recommended as a starting point!
