Rating: Summary: Healing Design, A Spritual guide to decorating your home Review: A friend of mine recommended Hope Gerecht to do a Feng Shui consultation last year after we purchased a new home. While implementing recommendations made during our discussion I anxiously awaited the release of her new book, Healing Design. I found the book impossible to put down and read the entire book at one sitting. I carried the book around my home and office for a week making notes and simple adjustments. I love her format of using case studies of homes to apply Feng Shui . I am a healing practitioner and health care provider and relate to the situational scenarios described in her home consultations that include the family and their environment. I believe in the power of intention and energy in healing. I am blessed to have met Hope Gerecht and have her spiritual interpretation of my home. Every day is a process. Feng Shui and "Healing Design" make a difference.
Rating: Summary: The long wait is over...and well worth it ! Review: For some time now I have anxiously awaited the publication of Hope Gerecht's book on feng shui. It was worth waiting every minute ! A beautifully illustrated book with a clear presentation of basic concepts, inspirational ideas, and poignant case studies which put feng shui in action. A must coffee table book for every home...that won't spend much time on the coffee table !
Rating: Summary: Beauty Outside and In! Review: Gerecht's book is definitely one for the coffee table - it's attractive and easy to thumb through. However, it also has something few other feng shui books have, and that's the blend of "old-school" and "new". By offering an easy to understand mesh of various schools of feng shui, the reader is allowed to modify as needed, thereby getting the most results for one's own home or office - or even car! The application of practices set to specific structures shows how simple feng shui can be, and takes the abstract into reality. The reader can take Gerecht's advice and be as basic or as involved as he or she chooses.

Rating: Summary: Great....informative and enlighten.....easy to understand! Review: Healing Design has put Feng Shui into words everyone can understand. Chart information and descriptive chapters enables you to grasp the concepts of balance in your home, workplace and life. The book flows with Feng Shui information everyone wants.
Rating: Summary: Not for beginners... Review: Healing design is a great book for beginners and those who practice more advanced Feng Shui alike. With the vivid illustrations and great educational information as your guide you will be in controll of your surroundings. Gerecht brings together the time-honored traditions of Feng Shui into one easy-to-follow system that will help you change your life.
Rating: Summary: Most useful Feng Shui book for creating healing space. Review: Hope Gerecht offers her design and placement insights based on more than a decade of practices. It is a "must read" book for people of all ages. The examples given are outstanding. The quotations from Albert Einstein to Professor Lin Yun add to the authenticity of her own feng shui wisdom.
Rating: Summary: Not for beginners... Review: While this book is good in providing real-life examples, I found her examples were too situation-specific. She shows real situations that don't apply to my own, hence, most of the book was unhelpful. This is not a particularly good book if you want to gain a foundation in feng shui. Use this book as a supplement to a book that provides a clear set of principles.
