Rating: Summary: Creating a mind that is calm and loving Review: . After I was dumped by the love of my life I read almost every book on the subject, but this book cuts it...It's about you, life and love. Actually I didn't find out about this book a year after the break up. I wish I had known about this book earlier. Why ? Because it stops making you think about yourself as being the victim and shows you hów to take responsibility by discussing whý you are responsible. At the same time it does not try to make you feel guilty; Spezzano has a whole philosophy about guilt and its function. The book has a Buddhist perspective that is there in an implicit way, you will only notice it if you read about Buddhism. The bottom line is really that this book is so powerful because it is able to heal through words of wisdom that create insight about you, and makes your mind calm...finally... so you can take some loving action.
Rating: Summary: The Road to Self-Healing Starts Here! Review: At some point in our lives we all experience heartbreak. It can either cripple us or teach us a valuable lesson. After going through a divorce I was sure life would never be the same. I lost the one person that mattered most and I didn't know why. I thought nobody else could possibly know what I was going through. Chuck Spezzano explains it all. After reading this book it not only helped me to move on but to realize where everything went wrong. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is experiencing any kind of loss or heartbreak.
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: I can't even begin to share with you how much this book has opened my mind and my heart to a new understanding. I am a little half-way through the book and I have already had many incredible breakthroughs! I have been dealing with so much "stuff" in my life and Chuck Spezzano's timeless wisdom has really brought me much peace and prespective. I highly recommend this book.
Rating: Summary: Creating a mind that is calm and loving Review: I purchased this book, thinking that it was going to give me some good advice on how to get over a painful break-up. It gave advice, and only good if you desire 'tough love' tactics. While I do accept Spezanno's idea that we are responsible for how we feel...he takes that too far and essentially has you blaming yourself for everything that happens to you. Sorry...I don't buy that at all. I can't see how a partner could accept responsiblity for being unfaithful, or how you are responsible if your partner just doesn't want to communicate at all. There is only so much one can take responsibility for in any relationship, and I felt strongly that Spezanno expected the reader to blame themself for their heartbreak. Sorry...difficult to do in any situation. Anything by Dr. Phil would be better than this. Dr. Phil may be tough, but he recognizes there are two sides to every story.
